THE SKILLED WORKER EXPRESS ENTRY SYSTEM

The Government of Canada encourages people with valuable skills to immigrate to Canada. It was for this reason that they created the Federal Skilled Worker class of immigrant visa, to allow those with sufficient language skills, education, and experience in an occupation that is needed in Canada, to enter the country.

These are the Basic Requirements:

Applicants must pass a language test in English (or French).

NO JOB OFFER is needed (although having one will add points). However, applicants must show that they are skilled enough to do the job they apply for.

Applicants apply under a Points Test. You must be 18 years or older. There is no maximum age limit, but generally the younger you are, the higher your points.

Applicants must score at least 67 points on the official Points Test.

Applicants must have some settlement funds to support themselves whilst they look for a job (where relevant).

A Medical test and Criminal check will also have to be done.
